Thank You for Your Support: A Lookback on 2025

Dear Friends & Supporters,

Some down-time over the holidays provided me the opportunity for a little reflection that I wanted to share with you as friends, supporters, and those who helped me take the helm of the largest township and 7th largest community in Michigan.

I heard recently that it’s important to look for the red threads that weave through your thoughts, ideas, projects and initiatives, as a way to identify the patterns that bind things together.

As I reflected on the support that you provided me throughout my first year as Clinton Township Supervisor, it occurred to me that the red thread that binds us is commitment to community over short-term self-interest and positive activism over cynicism.  I want you to know how grateful I am to have you as a part of our community and thank you for your support!

I also wanted to update you on some of what we, together, accomplished in 2025.  While my initial goal was to create the top five of 2025, it became harder to discern which of the many irons in or already pulled from the fire will prove to be most impactful.  So, the attached list is a credit to what you helped make possible.

The red thread that weaves through these initiatives is that systemic challenges require comprehensive solutions. Doing the things the way we’ve always done them fails to confront our shifting economy and our changing reality.

As always, I remain humbled, greatly appreciative, and inspired to keep working with you and for you to build a better and more inclusive Clinton Township!

Respectfully,

Paul Gieleghem,
Clinton Township Supervisor
